In short walking distance from the touristic center of Prague, the steep Petřín hill is located. On one of this summer’s last warm days, we climbed up and found the top to be full of flowers in full bloom.
View from Skalka, a park on a steep hill next to Kotlářka tram stop, a little walk from our home in Prague.
Náplavka, the Prague waterside area that’s popular for having a beer during summer days.
We spent one night in Šárka-Lysolaje park in Prague. It’s not too far from the center but it’s still very quiet and we found the perfect spot to set up the tent.
Hitchhiking Portugal to Germany
Crossing the border from Spain to France
From San Sebastián we made it to Irun, a town on the Spanish/French border. From here, we crossed the border on foot.
With neverending rain and a bad hitchhiking spot, we ended up spending the night in a hostel in San Sebastián.
From Hotel Alaska, the only way to find civilization was to follow the highway to the nearest petrol station.
We spent a night at the parking lot next to Hotel Alaska, an abandoned hotel, completely hidden in the dark at night.
On day 1 we took the train from Lisbon to Porto. From there it took us many hours to get a ride. The next day we made it to Viseu.

The Chocolate Hills are a range of small humps in the landscape. In this time of year, it looks nice but in the dry season they should turn brown, making it look like a land full of giant bonbons (hence the name). We saw them from a viewpoint in the town of Carmen (Bohol island).
